A Very Nice Christmas 08, :(

A Very Nice Christmas 08, :(

It was a very cold night - the night that people had awaited desperately. This night was the most important night of the year, for it was the Christmas Eve. But for him, it was the loneliest of all.

This “him” was an old man, who went abroad a long time ago to support the needs of his family. An old man, who was slowly betrayed by his wife by asking for more and more money just to waste it at casinos. An old man, who went home surprised to see his children like beggars, to see the refrigerator full of nothing, to see his skeleton-like house in which his money supposed to go, to see his children out of school, and to see the guilty eyes of his wife. An old man, who started from scratch, forgetting the scars he had in his heart, and started business. An old man, who was nearly bankrupt, for his income was almost drained up. An old man, who was left by his wife and children because he had no money. An old man named    Paul…

He was watching on a television a commercial about Christmas. “The happiest moment of your life is the time when your family is together eating away the night of noche buena…” Tears fell from his eyes. He searched his memory for happy moments, but he found none. Instead, he remembered one Christmas season when he was still at Saudi. He called his wife in a telephone.

“Merry Christmas, honey. How’s the children?” “

They’re fine, really. Uhmm, however we have nothing here for noche buena.”

“What happened to the 20 thousand I sent to you last week?”

“It,.. It,.. I spent it for the tuition of your eldest. The school asked an advanced payment.”

“Really? Okay, I’ll just send another 20 thousand for your noche buena. I love you!”

“Very nice, 20 thousand is just enough.”

“Yes. Okay, I’ll go now, I still have work here. Merry Christmas, honey.”

“Yes, yes, yes. Don’t forget to send the money.”

“I won’t. Bye.”

The countdown started.

Ten… He felt his heart squirming.

Nine… Eight… He had nothing to eat for noche buena.

Seven… Six… He just covered his body with the torn-up blanket.

Five… Four… “All the miseries will pass, remember the meaning of Christmas.”

Three… Two… “Who is it? Where are you? Why are you here?”

One… “Shhh… Remember this: I suffered also. ‘Coz I died for you…” MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

And so, he slept the night away. A very nice Christmas, indeed, :)

2 Timothy 3:12

“In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” (2 Timothy 3:12)

well, as the Bible says in Second letter to Timothy, at chapter 3, verse 12, all who live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. Just this month, we are tested in the genuineness of our faith… We were bombarded with plenty of accusations and we were gossiped with the authorities and the personnels of the school, I regret to say. But, they don’t know, they just make us stronger!!! By this experience, we prove that Satan have a second thought in giving us his attention, but always, as according to God, the gates of hell will never overcome against the church… I just pity the one who told our D.P. because he doesn’t know whom he’s dealing with. It’s actually not us, it’s God’s ministry itself….

This battle happened for a million times now, back from Peter and Paul’s times… And, as always, they never surrendered. We will never surrender too, no matter what happens!!!!!

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

Over all my burdens,  and through all my fears…  Jesus carries me.

Through all my trials, and through all my tears…  Jesus carries me.

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamt he was walking along the beach with the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:

one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of

his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very

lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he

questioned the LORD about it:

“LORD, you said that once I decided to follow

you, you’d walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most

troublesome times in my life,

there is only one set of footprints.

I don’t understand why when

I needed you most you would leave me.”

The LORD replied:

“Oh my precious. precious child,

I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints,

I didn’t leave you, it was then that I carried you.”

Over all my burdens,  and through all my fears…  Jesus carries me.

Through all my triumphs, and through all my tears…  Jesus carries me.

Oh he carries me across the burning sand, over water deep and wide

he gently takes me by the hand and carries me  to the other side.

Oh my Jesus carries me.

1st blog huh… well, ok. as 1st comes 1st, introduction is a must. well, rico’s the name, age’s 14, young, but looks old, philsci scholar (kunuhay!) and a dormer.
sometimes, entering in His life is not easy. Always a path with exercises and challenges. there was a teacher who announced things about stuffs that i do. i know plenty of you know this. well, this teacher told us not to build a new religion. I know it was directed to me. well, i am not making a religion (excuse me, a 14-year old geek cannot make one!!!) and i’m not making them hudas!!!!!! Sharing is a thing, but converting them is not it. ask them, (if you know who are they), and you will know the truth. if they want me to stop it, why not tell me personally. believers can’t help but speak (it’s in the Word). but still, we need to follow the law of the lands(it’s in the Word too). So, now I am not continuing it.  But sooner, I really can’t halp myself but to speak and proclaim His wonders. thImages
at’s all. I will not that stop. period…. 1st churvalou…
